Terms of Service

Version 1.0.0 · Effective 15 August 2026

Plain English. You must be 18+. Be honest about who you are and what you want. Respect what other people have declared. Reporting and blocking are always free. You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app, in two taps.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Polygram. We verify your date of birth at signup and it cannot be changed afterwards without support review. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are removed. You must not use Polygram if you have previously been removed for a safety violation.

2. Your account

Sign-in works by a one-time link emailed to you and opened on your device. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who controls it can request a sign-in link. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person.

3. What Polygram is, and is not

Polygram helps people state what they want before they meet, and matches on those declarations. We are not an introduction agency, a background-check service, or a guarantor of anyone's identity, intentions, or safety. We do not conduct criminal background checks on members at signup. Matching is a set of rules applied to what people typed — it is not a judgment that anyone is safe, suitable, or truthful.

4. Meeting people

Take your own precautions. Meet in public the first time, tell someone where you are going, and stop any interaction that feels wrong. Nothing in the product substitutes for your own judgment. If someone makes you feel unsafe, report them — reporting is free, unlimited, and never rate-limited.

5. Rules of use

You agree not to: misrepresent your age, identity, or photos; harass, threaten, dox, or stalk anyone; send sexual content to someone who has not consented to receive it; pressure anyone past a boundary they declared; use Polygram for commercial solicitation, sex work advertising, or compensated arrangements; scrape or bulk-collect member data; attempt to bypass blocks, safety systems, or access controls; or upload illegal content. Full expectations are in the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write and upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, display, and transmit it strictly to operate the service — showing your profile to members it is meant for, delivering your messages, and moderating for safety. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in safety and moderation records where necessary to protect others. We do not use your content for advertising and do not sell it.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate an account that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Where we act against your account we will tell you what rule was broken, unless doing so would endanger someone or is legally prohibited. You may appeal to appeals@polygram.love, and a human will review it. We act faster and with less notice for threats to physical safety, minor safety, and non-consensual content.

8. Payments

Polygram is currently free, and no paid features are available in this beta. If we introduce paid features later, we commit now that: reading and replying to another member will always be free; cancelling any subscription will take no more steps than starting it and will be available in the same place; free trials that convert to paid will be disclosed clearly before you start them; and we will not use countdown timers or randomized paid rewards.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app — no email required, no retention offer, no additional steps. Deletion enters a short grace window during which you can cancel it by signing back in, after which your data is permanently purged, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Beta software

Polygram is in private beta and provided “as is”. Features may change or break, and data loss is possible. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, and our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or USD 100. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the UK, EU, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, that right is unaffected. We will try in good faith to resolve any dispute informally first — write to legal@polygram.love.

12. Changes

Each version of these Terms carries a version number, recorded against your acceptance. We will give notice in-app before material changes take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept them. If you do not, you can delete your account.
